The Case for Yes
Our police, fire, parks, senior services, and township operations are the backbone of a great community. Here's what's at stake — and why a Yes vote on August 4 is so important.
The Challenge
This millage is a renewal — not a new tax or an increase. It continues the dedicated funding that has allowed Northville Township to maintain the outstanding police, fire, parks, senior services, and general government operations our community depends on every day.
Without renewing this millage, the Township would lose the dedicated funding that keeps these services running at the high level residents have come to expect. A Yes vote simply maintains what we already have.
Police Department
The Northville Township Police Department provides 24/7 patrol coverage, investigative services, and community policing programs. Our officers are your neighbors — they live here, raise their families here, and are deeply invested in this community.
Millage funds will help maintain patrol staffing levels, support detective and investigative units, fund school resource programs, and ensure officers have the training and equipment they need to serve safely and effectively.
Fire Department
The Northville Township Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and technical rescue. Our firefighters and paramedics respond to hundreds of calls each year — from house fires to medical emergencies to car accidents.
Fast response times save lives. The millage will ensure we can maintain the staffing levels and equipment necessary to meet national response time standards and keep our community safe.
Parks & Recreation
Northville Township's parks, trails, and recreation programs are a cornerstone of our community. From youth sports leagues to nature preserves, these amenities improve quality of life for residents of every age.
The millage will ensure parks are properly maintained, recreation programs remain accessible, and the open spaces that define Northville Township are preserved for future generations.
Senior Services
Northville Township is home to a vibrant and growing senior population. Our senior services programs help older residents live independently, stay connected to the community, and access the support they need.
The millage will protect funding for programs that provide transportation, social activities, health and wellness resources, and other vital services that help seniors thrive in our community.
